April Re-cap

April turned out to be a great month despite my disappointment at McNaughton Park. Finishing strong at Muddy Moose has really got my mojo going again. My confidence is slowly coming back and just in time for the real meat and potatoes of the first half of the year. Here is how April shaped up..

April Re-Cap:
Miles Run: 183 Miles
# of Runs: 15
Avg Miles: 12.2
2009 Total Miles: 568.55

Month Starting Weight: 157 Lbs
Month Ending Weight: 156 Lbs.
Weight Change: -1

Race Results:
McNaughton Park 150: Dropped at 100 Miles 36:15
Muddy Moose Trail Race: 14 Miles 2:02 - 20th Place (123 finishers)

With April in the books we move on into May. The big bad daddy of 100 milers in the east is this month, The Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 and I'm heading down without a crew and without a pacer. It should be interesting to say the least as I find out if I can really tough it out and hang on for dear life amongst the "rocks" of Northern Virginia. The snow is slowly disappearing in the North so of course hiking is coming back into focus, long days on my feet with slow miles and lots of elevation gain. It all helps in the end as we prepare for The Vermont 100 in July!
